Michael McGee Sr.
Michael McGee has been working in the financial and insurance industries for over 30 years. He began his career working at a national insurance company selling property and casualty insurance. In 1978 Mr. McGee founded Investment Insurance Coordinators, Inc. to provide financial and insurance advice. Mr. McGee became a partner at Patrick Insurance Agency in 1981 and became President in 1983. He continued selling property and casualty insurance along with his other financial service responsibilities until 2000. In that year the property and casualty portion of the business was sold so he could concentrate on the field where he enjoyed the most success, comprehensive financial services and risk management.
Years of work in both the financial and insurance industries have given Mr. McGee an expertise and unique insight few other advisors possess. This is reflected in the proficient and valuable service he offers to his clients.
In the year 2000, Investment Insurance Consultants was founded. Through this company we not only review and recommend changes to your current property and casualty insurance, we can evaluate how real estate may enhance your portfolio, along with determining what risk management strategies may be realistically implemented to protect you from unforeseen liabilities and exposures. Mr. McGee, an Investment Advisor Representative of Cambridge Investment Research Advisors, Inc. holds several designations and is highly qualified in each of these fields. His designations include RHU (Registered Health Underwriter), CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) and CEP (Certified Estate Planner). Mr. McGee is also a licensed Risk Manager, along with being licensed to sell Life, Accident, Health, HMOs and Property and Casualty Insurance.
Since 1985 Mike has been continually invited as a guest lecturer by the University of Houston where he instructs and educates future professionals on all forms of financial services (including real estate, business management, business succession planning and advertising) and insurance structuring. Mr. McGee is documented as having received the highest evaluations of all guest lecturers over the past 20 years.
Michael McGee Jr.
Michael W. McGee, Jr. graduated with a 4.0 GPA from St. Edward's University in 2007 with a double major in Accounting and Finance. During his time at St. Edward's, Michael worked at various accounting firms preparing individual and business income tax returns and advising clients as to income tax matters.
In 2009, Michael became a Certified Public Accountant and maintains this certification today. He received his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 2010 and graduated cum laude in the top 11% of his class. While at the University of Houston Law Center, Michael was an editor for the Houston Journal of International Law, a member of the Order of the Barons and the Treasurer of the Student Bar Association.
After graduating from law school, Michael worked at a prominent Houston law firm practicing taxation, estate planning, and probate. In his practice, Michael advised high net worth clients regarding complex trust and estate matters, including tax planning and business succession matters.
Michael received his Certified Financial Planner™ designation in 2015. Michael currently serves as the Director of Wealth Management for Investment Insurance Coordinators, Inc. in Katy, Texas. Michael assists his clients with their financial planning matters, which includes retirement and estate planning, life insurance, and wealth management.
Michael and his wife, Jennifer, currently live in Katy with their two children. When not in the office, Michael enjoys spending time with his family and hunting, fishing and golfing.
Michael is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Houston Bar Association, and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Jeanne McGee serves as the Office Manager for Investment Insurance Coordinators. Jeanne began her career in the insurance industry as an adjuster for USAA. At USAA, she served as a supervisor for auto claims in the New England Region. After leaving USAA, Jeanne spent over five years at Lindsey and Newsom as a licensed automobile, property, worker's comp and liability adjuster. While there, Jeanne was in charge of investigating circumstances involved with all types of claims. She documented and presented information secured for the insurance carriers they represented. Along with that portion of Jeanne's responsibilities, she was also trained and required to review policy provisions and coverage questions.
In 1986, Jeanne began working as a licensed insurance agent with Patrick Insurance Agency. While in this role, Jeanne worked on claims, and as a property and casualty underwriter for personal and commercial insurance. Eventually, Jeanne became Office Manager of Patrick Insurance Agency and served in that capacity until it was sold in 2000. In addition to managing the day to day operations of IIC, Jeanne currently uses her years of experience in the insurance industry to review and recommend coverage for clients while also assisting clients with potential claim questions through Investment Insurance Consultants.
Vita, Paula, Steven, Maccie and Marlene
Our knowledgeable and educated support staff have proven to be invaluable to Mike Sr., Mike Jr., and Jeanne as well as to our clients. They manage their tasks in a professional and efficient manner. Like us, all our staff has the team philosophy and approaches their work with the outcome of the client in mind.
Vita, Paula, and Steven are licensed by the State of Texas. They have been proven to be very efficient Client Service Associates. Vita and Paula earned this membership with their outstanding record of assistance and support. Using their years of experience and knowledge they respond to clients' questions and concerns in a congenial and timely manner.
Maccie acts as Assistant Client Service Associates. She plays an important part in assisting Mike Sr., Mike Jr., Jeanne, Vita, Paula and Steven in the servicing of accounts. This associate not only maintains our client data base, she also greet our clients as they come in to our office. She is also responsible for contacting both companies and clients regarding outstanding service issues.
Marlene works as an administrative assistants in the everyday functioning of the office. She make certain that we have what we need to ensure the office runs smoothly on a day to day basis. Marlene organizes our records and manuals as well as maintains critical logs and support material.
